Aon

Melissa, an innovative business leader, has tremendous experience in population health management. She has a special interest in preventive medicine, aiming to truly transform health.

Beginning her career as a Nurse Health Educator for a Berkshire Hathaway Company, Clayton Homes, Melissa helped cultivate a culture of health and safety for 15,000 employees. She emphasized holistic health education, prevention, screening, and addressing risk factors and chronic conditions. There, she became certified as an Exercise Physiologist through American College of Sports Medicine and wrote exercise prescriptions for employees ranging from athletes to metabolically high-risk individuals while also teaching group fitness classes.

Next, Melissa obtained a MBA while working at Y-12 National Security Complex as a Graduate Research Assistant. She focused on integrating disparate sources of data to enhance the health of the population and applying targeted strategies while vigilantly monitoring results. From there, Melissa transitioned her nursing and business experience into consulting.

She spent almost 6 years at USI and legacy Wells Fargo Insurance Services. Serving in both regional and then national capacities, she uniquely assisted the company in steering the clinical direction of the health and productivity team while demonstrating thought leadership by speaking at conferences, writing client advisories, and consulting with clients to improve health and mitigate risk.

In her role on an industry leading team at Aon, Melissa helps to empower results for clients by delivering advanced, effective solutions. She serves as a subject matter expert in clinical health transformation, is knowledgeable of best practices and market trends, and leverages over a decade of experience to develop customized strategies for clients.
