Senior Vice President, Health Innovation
Michael reports to Aon’s Global Health Solutions Advisory and Specialty Leader and is responsible for monitoring disruptive trends in health care and identifying unique capability and create innovative solutions that will that improve participant engagement and experience, drive better health outcomes and lower cost. He is also leads consulting relationships with several clients.
Michael joined the firm in 1994. He has 35 years of experience consulting with clients on overall health care strategy, program design, pricing, participant consumerism and engagement, and integrating disparate programs resulting from mergers and acquisitions. He is a leader in the firm and has extensive experience in evaluating emerging vendor solutions and capabilities and discerning those that offer demonstrable value for clients.
During his tenure at Aon, Michael served for several years on legacy Hewitt’s National Practice Leadership Team. He created and led the National Design and Development Team, a team focused on leading-edge development of designs, offers, and consulting tools, and launched and led legacy Hewitt’s Mid-Size Employer Solutions Practice.
Over the years, Michael has consulted with Fortune 500 clients across many different industries including health care, insurance, defense contracting, food service, hospitality and retail. He has deep expertise in consulting with clients who have low wage, high turnover workforces and helping them develop strategies that target the needs of their unique workforce while minimizing company spend.
Prior to joining Aon Hewitt in 1994, Michael worked for seven years at a leading New England-based health plan, where he held positions in financial, operational, product development, and marketing.
