Scott Adam Berkowitz, MD, MBA, FACC is Associate Professor in the Division of Cardiology. He is also Senior Medical Director for Accountable Care for the Office of Johns Hopkins Physicians and the Office of Managed Care and Population health within Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM) and Executive Director of the JHM ACO known as Johns Hopkins Medicine Alliance for Patients, LLC (JMAP). In this work Dr. Berkowitz is involved in helping JHM to consider its approach to care delivery transformation more broadly. Dr. Berkowitz also served as the program administrator/project director for the Johns Hopkins Community Health Partnership (JCHiP) which was launched through a CMMI Health Care Innovation Award. He completed his education at Yale University, his medical training at Johns Hopkins as well as congressional fellowships on both the Senate Finance and HELP Committees. His research and writing efforts relate to accountable care and health reform.
